Noticed during the end of the day that one of my drive tires was low on air. Figured I’d call the Portsmouth location since it was close by to see if they could find the leak. Called and explained what my problem was (slow leak, tires were only a few months old purchased from the Richmond location, just purchased 4 from this location 1 1/2 weeks ago). Was told to “come on by, we’ll take care of it for you.” I specifically asked before leaving how much it would cost and I was told “oh nothing, it won’t cost you.” I get there, was shown a screw stuck in the middle of deep tread. I was told “it needs a quick patch up”, I said “ok” since I was still under the impression it would be free. Shortly before the job is complete I’m now told there’s going to be a charge for the repair. I asked how much and was told “$35”. Since the work was already started I figured what’s $35? That’ll save me time from getting tools out and getting dirty plugging it myself. When I finally get in the office to pay I’m now told the entire bill is $70+!. They had me as a loyal customer and a “spokesman” telling about how good they are. I think I’ll have to take my business elsewhere from now on. I’d be careful by the cool talk and nice smiles. Get all your quotes in writing before you have any work done by them. I’ll be updating my previous ratings as well.
